Fost Plus and Valipac are launching the Elimination Lab: an initiative in which Belgian e-commerce companies, together with a team of experts, explore whether 'no pack' strategies are viable for them, and where selected participants are guided step by step through the integration into their operations.

WHAT IS THE ELIMINATION LAB?

Fost Plus and Valipac are selecting 10 Belgian e-commerce companies for a free business scan.

 We investigate whether a 'no pack' strategy is feasible and profitable for your organisation. A team of experts assesses the commercial potential of your e-commerce activities based on three aspects:

  • Order profile and distribution: To what extent does your volume consist of single-order purchases, and through which distribution methods are they shipped?
  • Commercial and operational impact: Which product criteria are relevant, and what is your current operational reality?
  • Technical and financial feasibility: How suitable is your current packaging, and what investment (time/budget) is needed to make the transition?

WHO IS THIS FOR?

We are targeting single product orders

For multiple products, there is actually an environmental benefit to packaging them together. The product must furthermore be large enough, already robustly packaged and commercially viable. Expensive electronics, liquids or intimate products are therefore not eligible. 

 Companies are selected based on criteria that guarantee maximum diversity, and on the condition that: 

  • They comply with the legal obligations regarding packaging, e.g. through membership of Fost Plus and/or Valipac
  • There is a balanced representation of Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels
  • There is variation in sectors, company sizes and degree of packaging automation
  • The motivation is present
